Celebrating Recycling

Garson & Shaw invited suppliers and customers to a day of Celebrating Recycling on June 18th 2010.

The reason for this event was to get together people who work daily with the recycling of clothes, shoes and other miscellaneous second hand products in different ways - either by collecting - grading - selling from retail stores - or selling world wide.

Both non- profit and for-profit businesses were represented.

We wanted to share information about the impact textile recycling has on the environment and on the economy  - and to make everyone feel good about being a part of this business.

We had speakers both representing the environmental side of the business and the economical aspect with creating business in the 3rd world and projects being held in 3rd world countries with money generated from the second hand business.
