What is tropical mix?
It is used clothing is a combination of men’s, women’s and children’s clothes that are presorted specifically for tropical climates.
This used clothing consists only of lightweight summer clothes appropriate for hot climates. In addition to clothing, ‘Household Rummage’ is also included, ‘Household Rummage’ consists mainly of bed sheets and towels.
It is important to note that Tropical Mix does not include: sweatshirts, heavy jogging pants, long sleeve t-shirts and clothing made out of heavy woven (sweater) or corduroy material. It also does not include torn, worn out, discolored, faded nor out-of-shape clothing.
Where does it come from?
Tropical clothing items are mostly graded in Europe (using original clothing from many countries in Western Europe) and in Central America (using Credential and Mixed Institutional Rags from the US). Very few warehouses in the US can offer this product.
How is tropical mix packed?
This category of secondhand clothing is packed in large bales (also called giant bales) of about 1,000 lbs or 450 kgs. Some warehouses can offer the option to pack this item in small bales.
